Granite Kopjes dot the Serengeti as we enter the Maasai Mara.
Entering the Maasai Mara in Tanzania we begin to see the granite kopjes in the Serengeti. Their name is a mis-pronunciation of the Dutch and Afrikaans words for head- the mounds look like heads popping out of the savanna.
